Who is NREPP?
During the late 1980’s, NREPP was created by SAMHSA (Substance Abuse-Mental Health Services Administration) as a searchable online registry of mental health and substance abuse interventions that have been reviewed and rated by independent reviewers. The purpose of the registry is to assist the public in identifying approaches to preventing and treating mental disorders and/or substance use disorders that have been scientifically tested and that can be disseminated to the field. Programs reviewed and posted on the web are referred to as “evidence based."
