Law enforcement appreciation events

Law enforcement appreciation events

During the week of April 7-10, HEARTS for Families visited Law Enforcement agencies in Clayton County to show appreciation for their support of our efforts in the community.  The Law Enforcement representatives were overwhelmed and appreciative of the coffee, donuts and breakfast that we provided for them.  They expressed how exciting it is to know that such an organization is striving to reduce underage drinking.  We were even accompanied by two Clayton County High School Seniors that presented messages on underage drinking statistics and the need for a Social Host Ordinance.  We are thrilled to say that the presentation was well received at each location.

Overall, it was a great opportunity to bring awareness to the resources that are available to them and to form a partnership for a healthier Clayton County. Thank you Clayton County Sheriff Office, Clayton County Police Department, Jonesboro Police Department, Lovejoy Police Department, Lake City Police Department, Riverdale Police Department, Morrow Police Department and Forest Park Police Department for allowing HEARTS the opportunity to share the initiative in place to reduce the risk of underage drinking in your communities.
