Commitment in Harris County

Commitment in Harris County

There are people that make a difference, there are people that are devoted and there are people that really care; often it is hard to find someone with all those qualities, but Gregg Woods, Harris County Manager, Julie Johns, Wendy Durham and John Andrews are some of those people.

Gregg has the commitment and passion for an ordinance being presented on the behalf of HEARTS Region 6 strategies: Responsible Beverage Server Training on-line for storeowners and Minimizing Signage. Julie and Wendy have been devoted and committed to the support of this strategy and John serves as the auditor for Harris County. Together this group of people forms our STEP Up Workgroup in Harris and they are committed to encouraging retailers to volunteer to have 50% of their employees enroll and complete the Retail Business Server Training (RBST) by the end of September 30, 2015. With this level of commitment, HEARTS Region 6 will show a positive outcome for one of the selected community strategies.   George Patel the owner of G&B Food Mart is to be congratulated as the first to sign up his staff to take the training. Shown in the picture below is Beverly Patel, one of his managers.

The next Workgroup meeting is 2.11.15 at Harris County Courthouse 3rd floor @ 1:30 PM.
