HEARTS sends new communications coordinator to the Big Apple
We are so excited to share with you about the opportunity that HEARTS for Families had to send our Communications Coordinator, Megan Pope, to New York City on December 3rd and 4th! Megan attended the PRSA (Public Relations Society of America) sponsored “Social Media Manager’s Workshop. The two day training, presented by Eric Schwartzman, an industry-leader in digital marketing consulting, was jam-packed with skill-building, networking opportunities and technical training related to internet marketing and social media. Since the training group was small, Megan had the chance to interact closely with other professionals from different industries, and was able to gain one-on-one insight into how long-time marketing managers use social media to benefit their respective agencies.
As a result of attending the Social Media Manager’s Workshop, Megan now has a working knowledge of multiple subjects related to internet marketing. Topics covered in the workshop include: search engine optimization, crisis management, up and coming social media outlets, content development, blog design, and various other technical applications. The arsenal of skills and experience that Megan built at the training is already being put to use as she dives in to preparing the HEARTS for Families Marketing Strategy for 2016, and the information from this training is something that will benefit HEARTS for Families for years to come!
If you’d like to hear more about the training, or are interested in learning some of the tips and tricks that Megan is using, please contact her by email: SocialMedia@HEARTSforFamilies.org.
