Spring has sprung: Getting the kids back outside

The weather is getting better and people young and old are ready to get back outside! Spring and summer are short, so take note of all these outdoor activities and enjoy of the weather while you can.

20 spring outdoor activities

  1. Plant flowers or a vegetable garden
  2. Go for a hike
  3. Have a clothesline art show
  4. Ride bikes, scooters or skateboards
  5. If you are not squeamish, go bug hunting
  6. Have a picnic (pack a fun lunch!)
  7. Jump rope
  8. Learn about photography and take pictures
  9. Feed the ducks at the pond
  10. Draw pictures with chalk
  11. Go to the farmers’ market
  12. Go bird watching
  13. Create a scavenger hunt to do at the park
  14. Play hide and seek
  15. Play catch or a sport
  16. Burn off some energy by having races
  17. Make a sundial to use year-round
  18. Play hopscotch or foursquare
  19. Have a milk carton boat race
  20. Set up an obstacle course

Most of these activities don’t cost a cent, but the memories your children will have of family time and bonding will be priceless.
