Welcome Celenda Perry to the HEARTS Family!
In late December 2015, Mrs. Perry joined our work on the Alcohol Prevention Project. She serves as the Program Coordinator for our work in Waycross (Ware County), Georgia. Celenda has much experience in this field and has jumped in with both feet. Youth, parents and community members are already welcoming her. We’re excited to have her on the HEARTS Team!
Celenda Perry has been recognized as a leader in prevention and health promotion, serving on state, federal and international prevention committees. She graduated from Valdosta State University with a concentration in Human Resources Management, and graduated from Loyola University (New Orleans) with specialties in social justice and ethics.
Her previous background in planning has transferred seamlessly into local community development efforts and collaboration, leading to numerous public-private partnerships. She is a Certified Preventionist.
Celenda’s reputation in resource development and sustainability comes from her success in writing and administering more than $15 million in state and federal contracts. She lives in St. Marys, Georgia with her husband, Michael.
Please join us in giving Mrs. Celenda Perry a warm HEARTS Family welcome!
