What we are up to: “Understanding Social Host” webinar
Recently, HEARTS staff participated in a “Understanding Social Host” webinar sponsored by Voices for Prevention– Georgia’s statewide prevention coalition, who is actively pursuing a statewide social host ordinance.
Clayton County Cooperative Extension Office offered their meeting space in Jonesboro for invited guests to participate in the event. Refreshments and networking began at 8:30 with the webinar beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Clayton County Sheriff’s Department, Jonesboro Police Department, Clayton Community Service Board and others were represented. Active discussion continued after the webinar regarding next steps and ways to garner additional community support.
A special thank you goes to Kim Seibert Riley and her Cooperative Extension staff. Their ongoing support is greatly appreciated.
