Alcohol and Substance Abuse Prevention Project
The Alcohol and Substance Abuse Prevention Project (ASAPP) is a substance abuse prevention initiative of the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities’ (DBHDD) Office of Behavioral Health Prevention (OBHP). This project is implemented using the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF).
The goal of our community workshops is to educate communities on protective prevention practices that can lead to strong, nurturing relationships that help prevent substance abuse and violence.
HEARTS for Families currently offers multiple options for parenting program curricula, including: Nurturing Parenting, Guiding Good Choices, SMART Moves, and the All Stars Program, each of which has its own parent component.
