Changes to Your Childhood Home

We all have that one childhood home that sticks out to us. The place where we learned how to ride our bikes, made friends that lived just down the street, and where so many of our important lasting family memories were made. As children, we probably didn’t realize how hard our parents worked to make that home a safe place for us in which to grow up. We were not aware of the long hours they put in at work, or the problem-solving they had to do to be able to put food on the table and to make sure that we were cared for when money got tight. We just knew that the house was home for us, no matter how big or small it may have been.

For our parents, that home was a place they built for their family, maybe not physically laying brick by brick; but through the hurdles they had to overcome, the successes they brought home, and by the memories they did their best to create for their family…
