Clear Communication
It’s amazing how not knowing the correct information can mess up your whole day. It causes additional stress, unnecessary confusion, and puts strains on relationships. This happens every single day and in every situation. The importance of clear communication goes along with appropriate expectations.
While working at my last job, which was a catering company, communication was key! If we didn’t communicate with the ordering department, we wouldn’t know what food products to order to prepare the client’s request. If we didn’t communicate with the ordering department, we wouldn’t have the food in on time to complete cooking for the order, and if we didn’t communicate with delivery drivers and the scheduling department, we wouldn’t have a way to make sure that everything was delivered in a timely manner, as requested by the client. The whole process would have been a complete disaster, and we would not be able to stay in business for very long. Without proper and clear communication, no business would be able to function; and we, as a society, would cease to exist. Clear communication helps create the much desired “well-oiled machine” that keeps businesses moving and flowing as needed.
