The Power Behind a Good Customer Service Attitude

We’ve all been in a situation at some point in our lives where we need one-on-one customer service - not just a return on an item or being able to locate something in the store. We need someone to take the time to listen to what we are looking for, find a valuable solution to our problem in a reasonable amount of time, and assist us in making sure that we are completely taken care of / are satisfied with the outcome and the solution. We want to walk away feeling we had a positive one-on-one interaction of trust with attention from someone who truly cared about our experience and our needs.

Having someone who will give you complete eye contact, undivided attention, and the ability to purposefully listen to you without thinking about what they are going to say next is extremely important. Someone who hears your thoughts, ideas and concerns; someone who truly wants the best outcome for you, is a wonderful example of good customer service. Here’s a crazy thought… Wouldn’t it be great if we treated our friends and family members with the same respect of being a good customer service representative?
